Person-Centred Approach

At Kenfield House, we prioritise person-centred support as the cornerstone of our service delivery. We recognise that every individual possesses unique strengths, experiences, aspirations, and support requirements. As such, we    categorically reject the ‘one size fits all’approach. We engage in collaborative dialogue with each individual to gain a comprehensive understanding of their specific priorities, establishing the goals and outcomes they wish to achieve. Our support is diligently tailored to             accommodate individual preferences, capabilities, cultural backgrounds, and personal circumstances, ensuring that each person maintains agency over the decisions that affect their lives. Support plans are co-created with the individual, and, where appropriate, include family members, advocates, and relevant professionals. These plans are subject to regular reviews, allowing us to remain responsive to changing needs and aspirations. We actively promote choice, independence, and engagement in personal support. This encompasses the management of daily living skills, access to educational and employment opportunities, the development of social connections, the maintenance of good health, and participation in community activities. Our staff are dedicated to providing unwavering support and encouragement while fostering personal accountability and confidence. By focusing on individual strengths rather than limitations, we empower individuals to develop the skills, confidence, and resilience essential for a fulfilling life and to achieve meaningful outcomes. Our steadfast commitment ensures that every individual receives dignified, respectful, compassionate, and understanding support, enabling them to live as independently as possible while feeling secure, valued, and integrated within their community.

Dedicated Experienced Team

Meet Our Team

At Kenfield House, we know that the quality of the support we provide is only as good as the people who deliver it. That's why we are incredibly proud of our team.

We are a family-run organisation with a genuine passion for supporting people to live happy, independent and fulfilling lives. Every member of our team shares the same values of kindness, respect, dignity and compassion, and we work together to create a safe, welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

Our team brings together many years of experience in health and social care, alongside recognised professional qualifications and a commitment to continual learning. Most importantly, we are people who genuinely care about making a positive difference every day.

Harry Holder – Director

Harry has dedicated much of his career to caring for others and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Kenfield House. As a Registered Mental  Nurse (RMN) and Registered  Nurse, general, he has spent many years supporting people with a wide range of health and wellbeing needs.

Harry holds a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and is a qualified trainer in Manual Handling and Fire Safety. He takes great pride in ensuring that both the people we support and our staff receive the highest standards of care, guidance and support.

His passion is creating an environment where people can feel safe, respected and empowered to live as independently as possible.

Patricia Holder – Director and Registered Individual

Patricia plays a central role in ensuring Kenfield House continues to provide a caring, safe and high-quality service. As our Registered Individual, she oversees the governance and quality of the service while supporting the management team in maintaining the standards expected by Care Inspectorate Wales.

Patricia holds a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, a Teacher Trainer Certificate and is an accredited Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Food Safety trainer.

She believes that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, kindness and respect, and works hard to ensure these values are reflected throughout everything we do.

Our Support Team

Our Support Workers are at the heart of everything we do.

Every day they provide encouragement, practical support and companionship, helping people build confidence, develop daily living skills and enjoy meaningful lives within their community. They take time to get to know each individual, recognising that everyone is unique and that support should always reflect personal wishes, choices and goals.

Our team includes colleagues with recognised Health and Social Care qualifications, alongside staff who are continuing their professional development through Social Care Wales. They are supported by a dedicated Administrator who helps ensure the service runs smoothly behind the scenes.

All of our staff receive comprehensive induction training, regular supervision and ongoing professional development. We continually invest in our team so that they can continue providing the safe, compassionate and high-quality support that every person at Kenfield House deserves.

More Than Qualifications

While we are proud of our qualifications and experience, we believe the qualities that matter most cannot be measured by certificates alone.

Kindness, patience, understanding, respect and a genuine desire to help others are the values that define Kenfield House. Every member of our team is committed to treating people as individuals, listening to their views and supporting them to live life in the way that is right for them.

Together, we strive to make Kenfield House feel exactly what it should be—a place where people feel safe, valued, respected and truly at home.

Safe & Respectful Environment

At Kenfield House, we believe that every individual is unique and deserves support that reflects their personal needs, wishes, strengths, and aspirations.

Our approach is centred on promoting independence, choice, and empowerment. We work closely with each individual to identify meaningful outcomes and develop support plans that help them achieve their goals, whether that involves developing daily living skills, accessing education or employment opportunities, building confidence, improving wellbeing, or becoming more active within their community.

We recognise that positive outcomes are achieved through partnership, trust, and respect. Our staff provide encouragement and practical support while promoting individual responsibility, independence, and informed decision-making.

Everything we do is guided by the principles of dignity, respect, inclusion, equality, and person-centred care

Continuous Improvement

We are committed to investing in our workforce and ensuring that all staff receive the training and support necessary to provide high-quality services.

Staff receive induction training, regular supervision, annual appraisals, and ongoing professional development. Training includes safeguarding, mental health awareness, medication support, first aid, health and safety, equality and diversity, lone working, risk assessment, manual handling, fire safety, and record keeping.

Through a combination of professional qualifications, extensive experience, and continuous learning, the Kenfield House team is committed to providing safe, effective, and person-centred support that enables individuals to achieve positive outcomes and live fulfilling lives.
